AN INVENTION OF AND BY MAN

Image
In 325, at the Council of Nicea, Constantine the Great created the Catholic Church after a genocide of 45,000 Christians, where he tortured them to renounce Reincarnation.     At the same time the religious books of all the villages of the empire are collected and thus create THE BIBLE. In 327, Constantine, known as the emperor of Rome, ordered Jerome to translate the Vulgate version in Latin, changing the Hebrew proper names and adulterating the scriptures.  In 431, the cult of the VIRGIN was invented.  In 594, PURGATORY was invented.  In 610, the title of the POPE was invented.  In 788, worship of pagan deities was imposed.  In 995, the meaning of kadosh (set aside) was changed to saint.  In 1079, the celibacy of priests is imposed >> a totally Catholic word.  In 1090, the Rosary was imposed.  In 1184, the Inquisition was perpetrated.  In 1190, indulgences are sold.  In 1215, confession was imposed on the priests. ...

RBG

Image
Facebook reminded me that I posted this Gandhi meme, one of my favorite sayings. Reading it again, I picture RBG. What a great epitaph. Barack Obama wrote it this way: Sixty years ago, Ruth Bader Ginsburg applied to be a Supreme Court clerk. She’d studied at two of our finest law schools and had ringing recommendations. But because she was a woman, she was rejected. Ten years later, she sent her first brief to the Supreme Court––which led it to strike down a state law based on gender discrimination for the first time. And then, for nearly three decades, as the second woman ever to sit on the highest court in the land, she was a warrior for gender equality––someone who believed that equal justice under law only had meaning if it applied to every single American. Over a long career on both sides of the bench––as a relentless litigator and an incisive jurist––Justice Ginsburg helped us see that discrimination on the basis of sex isn’t about an abstract ideal of equality; that it does...

THE COMMON GOOD OF AMERICA

Image
Perhaps the common good of America will prevail even though Americans have voted with their eyes wide shut for far too long.  Bernie Sanders has answered to the need for moral responsibility in our government and Throughout the World. May Honesty Integrity Wisdom and Truth prevail. Bernie Sanders is the President we needed to reset the moral compass. The female guests on MSNBC did not listen then. They made a big deal about Bernie’s age, called him a communist. They claimed he lacked energy, spunk and said he made them sick. Yet neither Hillary nor Trump could keep up with the daily schedule he follows to this day. They did not listen then, they did not know how. And they still are not listening now. Eisenhower did not care about liberals or conservatives. He knew what the country needed after a war effort and he set about building it. The result was a great economy, #1 in the world in education, infrastructure and just about every other damn category, including the development of ...

Camp Is Not Just For Children

Image
Camp Is Not Just For Children That feeling when you recognize you are a voice with a story the majority of people will never understand because of their own privileged experiences. If we have learned one thing from Trump’s Narcopath egocentric rallies it is that he likes to sing and dance. He should feel right at home out in the Georgia sun getting fresh air and exercise with the camaraderie he demands. You know, dancing with the boys to entertain Ivanka. Or is it Melania? Maybe Eric and Jr. https://youtu.be/QVGgyGXPDJ8 https://youtu.be/zBn5aIfZElE Yeah, them southerners figured out a way to extend slavery that is as prevalent today as it was then. In fact, many northerners claiming to support civil rights even picked up on it. But hypocrisy is a topic for another time.  https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3AD50B1060A87945 Martin Niemöller was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in co...

THE GOOD THING ABOUT SCIENCE

Image
Here is something I posted three years ago. Facebook just reminded me about it. I read it, and although it pertains to that time, I believe the message is worth repeating in consideration of the 2024 Election. What do you think? “THE GOOD THING ABOUT SCIENCE IS THAT IT’S TRUE WHETHER OR NOT YOU BELIEVE IN IT.” Neil deGrasse Tyson Those who post non-mask comments are really inconsiderate. They don’t have any current scientific experience on the front lines today and base their dangerous conclusions on what they learned a year ago or more. Is it that hard to understand that we are dealing with a “novel coronavirus?” That means “new,” a disease doctors and scientists have never seen before. They are learning as they go, some of which is horrendous, giving us the best advice they can, which can change as they gain more and more experience with COVID-19. It can lead to a long, excruciating death I would not wish upon my worst enemy and definitely no child. It irks me that so called arm chai...

A CONVERSATION I NEVER WANTED TO HAVE

Image
A CONVERSATION I NEVER WANTED TO HAVE I am against everything Amy Coney Barrett is for. She is against everything I am for. Good thing we never dated. She is a deliberate slap in the face to the memory and legacy of RBG. https://youtu.be/biIRlcQqmOc I am asked:  What religion and nationality are you? I will tell you: I never know how to answer questions about creed, religion, nationality, etc. I am asked: Why is that? I will tell you: I am confused by the responses.  I ask: Why are there not American Irish? American Italian? American Canadian? American Native? American Africans? The only true commodity is American Cheese. I am asked: WTF??? I respond: Okay, I am a French Canadian American Jewish First Nation African Jersey Boy, but not necessarily in that order. I am asked: Can you name someone you resemble? I will tell you: I am not sure of his name, but he is a Chief. Take a look: https://youtu.be/Wvc1I6jsPUo I am told: You don’t look African. So I ask: What does an Af...

An Indictment Which Will Live In Infamy

Image
Possibly Donald J. Trump’s worst nightmare. Judge Chutkan is no Judge Aileen Cannon. She is fair, conscientious and ethical. May justice prevail. I have many friends, relatives and neighbors who support Trump. I avoid confronting them. Still, I can’t help but wonder if they realize how my opinion of them has changed because of their support of Trump. This opinion is not political, but based on my knowledge of Trump since 1969 when he supported and voted Democrat. I can’t ignore what I have learned during that period. I just wonder how they can discard the truth and support a madman?  I wonder if those who only got their news from FOX these past years are still watching FOX News for their perspective of the news? https://youtu.be/NsN3OqD24t8 Now that the January 6 indictment has been published, all I hear is how many MAGA Evangelical Republicans testified before the Grand Jury about the truth against former President Donald J. Trump. Republicans who supported Trump and whose ...
