It’s fun to be a kid again, fall off your bike and skin your knee, road rash. It’s another thing when you trip as an adult and get carpet burn. Now that’s another term we used when younger, but with a totally different meaning.   My problem this time was not age. It was the result of not looking where I was going due to mega salivation. You see, we have recliners and I pushed the button for mine to go back to upright so I could get up and get another slice of pizza and refill my wine glass with Chianti. Returning to my recliner, I did not notice that the footrest had not completely returned to the upright position, but was sticking out where I had reason to believe it wouldn’t be from past experience.   Opinion ~ ADOPTION It has been the subject of greed, inhumanity and has been bastardized by pro-lifers. Pro-lifers, now there’s a misnomer if I ever heard one. They are more interested in how much they can sell the baby for rather than the baby’s health, welfare and living a meaningful life. As for the baby’s biological mother, she is nothing but a brood mare to them.  Over the years of internment in Facebook jail, I have used that time constructively, attempting to put into words my feelings and beliefs about the subject of adoption from a unique perspective.
