SOCIETY ALWAYS CREATES THE MONSTER

A friend posted this today and I told her I was stealing it and tweaking it for another marginalized group of people.  She has been supportive of Adoptee Rights and Adoption Reformation and eventual abolition.  

The core is the same.  Being “forced” to deny your own truth and feelings to people please those who are in charge.  

Here is what she wrote. 

So, here is how it goes: A boy feels some erotic arousal for another boy. The adults in his life freak out. They tell him it's evil, dirty, sinful, unnatural. So he pushes those feelings way down deep inside. He can't get rid of them. They are part of who he is. He was designed to feel these feelings. But, when he does, he hears those accusations. He feels that shame, that terror that he has done something so horrible no human could ever possibly love him. So, he pushes them down harder. He hides them. He lies. He engages in other types of eroticism that his belief system sees as "holy". But that desire is still there. Still unsatisfied. Still hated and shameful to the boy who is quickly growing into a man.

He works harder to hide it. He begins to see that other people allow themselves to feel and express those feelings. The same feelings that he has been taught to detest in himself. And so, he attacks those who express their feelings. He calls them perverted and evil because they represent something that he has been taught to hate. You see he has been perverted. He has been forced to be something that is unnatural to what he was designed to be. And the fear and rage that has built up in him is too big to hold inside anymore and so, he must shoot beer cans with rainbows on them. He must ban simple entertainers. He must scream obscenities at peaceful paraders. He must insult and humiliate teenagers. Anything, anything but allow his true self to be known.

Do you see how the same scenario happens with adopted people.  You know you have another family but you aren’t suppose to acknowledge it or ask about them and you had better be willing to only say positive things because if you don’t you will be demonized for not accepting and repeating the popular propagandized indoctrination of the adoption industry.
