Ethnic Slurs

There are many ethnic slurs, stereotypes based on nationality. My ex-wife claimed I deceived her. She admitted to seducing and marrying me because I was Jewish and therefore must be rich. I bet she still considers herself to be intelligent. She wound up having an affair with her rich boss and we divorced. She was jealous of his wife who wore designer clothes, had a housekeeper and did not work. He was not Jewish, but ironically his wife was. A victory of some sorts, I guess, stealing a Jewish woman’s husband. They are still together and I wish them nothing but happiness, but feeling bad for all those who suffered around them because of their affair. 

The irony is that I am not Jewish, was bought and raised by a middle class Jewish couple. (My birth family are Roman Catholics, however.) My afather peddled fruits and vegetables and then shingles. My amom was a housewife whose parents lived in the projects. I worked as a civil servant at the time, hardly rich. However, being raised Jewish exposed me to all of the ridicule, prejudices and stereotypes, getting into my share of scraps. 

That is why this article appealed to me. Nothing new in it, but it does validate the hypocrisy and ignorance of so many Christians. What do you call someone who forces another to do something to stay alive and then ridicules them for doing it?

 

These same hypocrites, whose working ethics and wealth go back centuries, blame blacks themselves for mostly being poor. Everyone owes who they are to the hard work, pride and values of their ancestors going back generations and generations. We have blacks today whose grandparents were slaves to white Christian Europeans, prevented from getting ahead, no matter how smart, many with higher IQs than their enslavers. They are only beginning to build a legacy because those same white Europeans kneeled on their proverbial throats every time one of their generations managed to succeed (Black Wall Street, Rosewood, etc.) and instituted Jim Crow and the segregated South. Another unfair and invalid stereotype.

America was founded not as Christian Government nor Christian nation. Our Founders were fleeing Government controlled by religion and founded America on religious freedom, the freedom to believe or not believe in the religion of your choice as an equal citizen. 

Today, that principle has been misinterpreted and bastardized by White Christian Nationalists so as to disenfranchise others for power and greed, as was prophesized in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 ~ “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”
