I am transcultural
I am First Nation/French Canadian.
I am me, no better nor worse than you. 
I try to do good in this world not out of a fear of hell or promise of heaven, but because it feels better not to be an arsehole.

There was a time when the KKK wore hoods to hide their identity out of embarrassment. Today, white supremacists, neo-Nazis, stand up on a soap box for all to see. Do you really think our Constitutional and human rights are not at risk of extinction? If so, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. If you are not Evangelical or far right, today’s Republican Party does not represent you and does not even want you. You can still intellectually vote for a candidate who might not meet 100% of your criteria, but does believe in your Constitutional and human rights, as well as our democratic republic.

As far as I know, CPAC speakers are invited. They do not walk in off of the street. So, this tells me more than I want to know about today’s Evangelical Republicans. I can’t stop thinking about all those whom I considered friends, smiled to my face as if friends, but behind my back…

Caught Between Two Worlds

I was just an infant when I was taken from my homeland of Canada’s First Nations. “Now I live as a foreigner to my people. The pain that is often spoken of that comes with such separation and loss is only dwarfed by the pain of being taken from the life you were born into and forced to live an alternate reality that shouldn’t exist.  This is a perspective not brought up enough. However, it explains the common feeling of being caught between “two worlds” shared by many who are victims of this industry.
